A Call to Support Specific Journalistic Investigations; GHF Jobs Scanner

Dear Readers,

Journalism has a role to play in global health.

But journalism is expensive. Particularly the kind of work we do: timely, consistent and in-depth, while providing actionable information to our readership comprising discerning experts and policymakers.

We are often told that our reporting is seen as a valuable public service. These words of appreciation have undoubtedly kept us going, but they do not help us meet real world costs of production in one of the most expensive cities in the world - that happens to be the capital of global health - Geneva, Switzerland.

So while we reach thousands of readers globally, a fraction of this readership are paying subscribers.

Today we are writing to you with a request.

We are crowdfunding to support our investigations to examine both: the obvious and the subtle transitions in global health.

By donating to our reporting fund, you will help us meet costs to power specific investigations and help us pay freelancers. Donors can also provide feedback on our work by emailing, and meeting with us.

We want support for deep investigations such as this one: Examining Private Sector Support of Non-State Actors in Official Relations With World Health Organization.

If you believe in our work, but are not yet a subscriber, you can consider supporting us for a specific reporting objective.

Here is how we would use crowdfunded resources:

1. To support in-depth investigative projects in the coming months:

- Examining conflicts of interest in the context of the transitions in global health

- Global Health & AI

2. To help us continue paying a fair rate to our freelancers

Contributors will be provided with three-six months of full access to our newsletter.

We are a tiny but a mighty newsroom funded by our subscribers.

Join forces with this community of engaged readers to help us contribute to greater accountability in global health policy-making.

You can use paypal or get in touch with us to make a bank transfer. Just hit reply to this email, or reach us here: genevahealthfiles@gmail.com.

And of course, if you have been undecided, and are considering becoming a subscriber, you can also take advantage of this time-limited discounts on our subscriptions.

While you are here, and want to learn more what it takes to keep this going, check out this recent interview where I detail what has gone into nurturing Geneva Health Files for over five years. [Why Global Health Experts Rely on Geneva Health Files’ In-Depth Analysis]

As ever grateful to our community of supporters! Thank you for your engagement.

Best,

Priti
